Basically there are two methods to use for making the different types of
Challenge Coins. The first procedure is die casting and the second is die
struck. The die casting procedure is the hot molded process while the die
struck is stamped or minted process.
Form these both procedures 2D and 3D challenge coins can be produced .2D/3D
have two or more than two flat plains on the top which is called graduation
level. So there are three levels for the graduation which are level 1 level 2
and level three like 1D , 2D , 3D.In the die casting procedure the 2D/3D is mold in the coin metal.
All the coins made from this procedure is on metal base.
Enamel challenge
coins these are made of metal brass or some type of material like this . After
that there is enamel paint coated on the top of the challenge coins. there are
father more two categories of it the one is soft enamel coins and the other one
is hard enamel coins. In the hard enamel there is a simple coat of paint on the
metal while in the soft enamel there is very much decorated and attractive
design on the metal of the soft enamel.
There is another
type of Challenge Coins which is embossed on the metal. This is made of metal
and with the help of machine these coins are embossed and then are painted in a
very professional way so that these challenge coins shows their value. There
are also some challenge coins which have just printed on it for these types of
coins it should be prepare of metal and then there is need to print the design
according to the requirement of the customer .So there are many types of the
challenge coins which have used the different types of materials as well as
different designs are needed to make the perfect design.
